Our Purpose

Gorget does not build marksmen. Gorget builds decision-makers who happen to carry a weapon.

Our Why
Improvement
Gorget preserves principles, not procedures. The scenarios, facility configurations, and curriculum will change as threats, agencies, and technology change. The principles underneath them, that individuals need realistic, consequential repetition and not just a qualification score, does not.
Learning
Today's fter-action review becomes tomorrow's curriculum. Every scenario Gorget runs, every gap it exposes, and every lesson an agency or individual learns under realistic stress feeds back into the doctrine, because paper exercises don't prepare people for real danger, but documented repetition does.
Communication
Communication
Communication is complete only when understanding has been confirmed under stress, not merely acknowledged in a classroom: Instruction → Scenario → Performance → Feedback → Confirmation.

Quality
Quality is built into every repetition, not inspected into the final qualification score. A department that trains once a year to a static standard has not built quality; it has scheduled an inspection. Gorget builds quality throughout the process: curriculum development, classroom instruction, scenario execution, feedback, and refinement, repeated.
Leadership
Leadership at Gorget serves the standard by acting as the conduit through which curriculum, observations, and lessons learned flow in both directions: from instructor to student, and from the range back into the next curriculum revision.Â
Professionalism
Deeds over words.
Gorget is judged by documented, repeatable training outcomes, not slogans. Improved decision-making speed, stronger mind-muscle connections under stress, clearer communication, and tactical efficiency are the deeds that prove the doctrine, not the pitch that describes it.
Stewardship
We inherit. We preserve. We improve. We pass forward.
Gorget's methodology was not invented in a classroom. It was inherited from real deployments, real calls, and its founders' first exposure to realistic training in Special Forces, training that changed how they thought about preparation for the rest of their careers. Gorget exists to preserve those lessons, improve on them through every scenario run, and pass them forward to the next student who walks through the door.
Most lethal encounters are decided in seconds, under stress, without the luxury of a static range or scripted qualification course. Gorget's purpose is to give every officer, agency, and responsible civilian access to the realistic, force-on-force repetition that a career in Special Forces and law enforcement teaches, closing the gap between qualification and real-world performance.
We don't rise to the level of our expectations; we fall to the level of our training.
